Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
